Camelot of Kansas
Riverside Academy
Camelot of Kansas is located in the Riverside District of Wichita on seven acres of gorgeous tree filled land along the banks of the Arkansas River. Our residents benefit greatly from the center's close proximity to the Botanical Gardens, historical and recreational centers, Native American institutions and art museums.
Camelot of Kansas is a residential treatment center providing psychiatric treatment for boys and girls, ages 11 to 18. We serve Child in Need of Care (CINC), Juvenile Justice Authority (JJA), and non-custody residents with a variety of mental health disorders including behavioral disorders and/or drug or alcohol dependence or abuse.
STAFF
A low student-to-teacher/counselor ratio is essential to a child's progress. Our experienced and highly skilled staff works closely with each child to develop their full potential for academic achievement and mastery of critical life skills.
FACILITIES/AMENITIES
The Camelot of Kansas facility is a stately, red brick building complete with spacious front porches providing residents with a view of the idyllic surroundings. We currently provide services to 40 residents. However, we are undergoing expansion and will soon be able to accommodate additional residents. Future building plans also include a full-sized basketball court and recreation area.
Medical services are provided on site. Upon admission each resident will have an initial physical and psychiatric evaluation. A medical doctor is available as needed and a dentist is available for both routine and emergency dental care. Additional medical services are provided when needed.
