After turning around the lives of thousands of students who had fallen off track with our smaller alternative school settings, Camelot has decided to put our expertise to use at larger failing public schools.
The goal of these schools is to bring transformative change to a school district’s lowest performing schools. Camelot’s record of creating a structured environment and then overlaying an academic curriculum has worked so well in all schools to date that we believe the same model will prove successful in these larger schools.
Camelot will use the same curriculum as other public schools in the district. The difference we will make will again come through structure, care for our students and our results oriented attitude.
The school district selects the schools that need this intervention. It then selects the organizations that are capable and prepared to turn around these failing schools.
The parents and residents of a given neighborhood also play an active role in choosing the provider and working with that provider toward improving the school. Parent and guardian involvement is a key component of Camelot’s success.
