
Therapeutic Day Schools
Camelot’s therapeutic day schools go beyond the traditional programs for Special Education. We provide therapy and academic instruction in a small, structured, safe environment. Our program help children with a range of social/emotional disorders, psychiatric disabilities and behavioral disorders succeed.
Our therapeutic day schools are approved and recognized by the State Board of Education. We are also accredited by The Joint Commission and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

AUTISM AND ASPERGERS PROGRAM
Children participating in the autism program at Camelot’s day schools take part in a specialized curriculum that focuses on maximizing independent functioning in home, school, vocational and community settings. The autism program includes music therapy, intensive occupational therapy with sensory breaks throughout the day, intensive speech/language therapy, social skills training via the social worker and classroom staff, prevocational and vocational instruction and a functional academic curriculum.
SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL DISORDERS PROGRAM
Camelot uses a Problem Solving Model for much of the therapeutic intervention with the goal of helping the students learn to make better decisions and improve their coping skills.
Elementary and Junior High students take classes in language arts, math, science, social studies art and physical education. High School students take the classes required by their referring school districts which include English, math, science, social studies, art and physical education. Grades are sent to the home schools which are recorded on their transcripts and diploma’s s are awarded to graduates by their home school district.
Occupational, speech and physical therapy services are provided based on each student’s Individual Education Plan.
• 73 percent of 2005/2006 senior class graduated
• 84 percent of graduates are in college, in the service or employed
• 15 percent of 2005/2006 students were mainstreamed back to their regular schools.

Provides therapy and academic instruction for children and adolescents, ages 3 to 21, requiring special education services for the following needs:

Camelot of Tennessee
Kingston Campus
Provides a medically supervised, multidisciplinary program of therapy and academic instruction to children who have been unable to function in a regular classroom setting. The Kingston Center specializes in the treatment of children ages 5 to 12, but in special circumstances will admit adolescents up to the age of 21.
